I’m back with some great finds for August! So, in the midst of all the back-to-school hustle and bustle, take a brain break and try out some of these sites and extensions. You won’t be disappointed!
Chrome Extensions to Try
Auto Highlight. If you are looking to save time by reading online content faster, download this one. Auto Highlight helps you read faster by automatically highlighting the most important parts of the page. It will even let you edit the color of your highlighter.
Tide – Focus Timer & White Noise. This productivity tool aims to do just what it’s called. It can give you natural white noise and a customizable focus timer. You’ll be able to track your focus statistics all in one place.
I Just Want the Recipe Janet. I am not sure why but sites with recipes are notorious for including their entire backstory when all you really want is the recipe. This extension strips away the chit-chat and replaces everything on the page with only the recipe.
Avatar Maker. This one easily helps you create a character of yourself. You can choose everything from hairstyles to glasses to clothes and more. Instantly become a cartoon in just a few clicks!
TinySketch. In the mood for a quick sketch? Perhaps, it may be easier to explain a scenario to someone if you draw it out? Whatever the need, this extension allows you to quickly create and save a drawing. No need to open another program to sketch it out.
Must-Visit Websites
Wikipedia’s List of Individual Dogs. If you’re a dog lover, you probably can instantly think of five famous dogs from fiction. If you’re wondering where those dogs are now or looking to know more about them, just check out the big list from Wikipedia. They have included everyone from AirBud to the Golden Retriever in Homeward Bound.
ZoomQuilt. Ready to be mesmerized? This site will leave you in a trance as it zooms in from one picture to the next. It’s actually more addictive than it sounds and has some great art.
Lizard Point. This website is great for increasing your geography skills. You can take fun, free, and interactive quizzes to help you learn about the world. It’s great for learners of all ages.
I hope you enjoy August’s list of sites and extensions. Have any that you particularly enjoy? Throw them in the comments and share the love.
