Google Workspace recently unveiled an exciting array of twenty-seven new Google Slides templates. This new collection of modern, professionally designed templates will help users build their presentations quicker. Many of them can be used in the classroom. Let’s take a look at them.
Class Overview
The Class Overview template will allow you to create a presentation so you can clearly communicate important information. The template includes an About Me slide so you can introduce yourself. It includes a slide where you can enter your class schedule. In addition, the slides about Class Expectations and Behavior and Manners are very important. It is vital that classroom expectations are set from the beginning. Overall, creating a class overview presentation is a great way to start the new year or semester on the right foot. It ensures that both students and parents are well-informed and prepared for the learning journey ahead.
Group/Class Project
This template provides a uniform structure for all project presentations within a class or group. It ensures that each team or student adheres to a consistent format. This consistency makes it easier for you as the teacher to grade the projects. The template includes an Introduction and Table of Contents. There is also a slide for students to put their name, picture, and short bio. The rest of the slides contain various designs to help streamline the process of creating and delivering the project presentation.
Lessons
There are two lesson templates that will help you deliver well-organized and visually appealing lessons. One template offers a table of contents for your lesson as well as a variety of different slide formats that you can choose from. At the end of the template, there is a place for you to do a recap, ask questions, and enter notes about the next lesson. The other template is more colorful and allows you to add check for understanding during your lesson.
Games
There are a few new game templates you can choose from. The Trivia Game educational template will allow you to break your class into teams. You can then enter questions for the teams to solve. This can help foster collaboration and teamwork among students. The Guessing Game template lets you enter clues so that objects can be guessed. I like guessing games because they can be very interactive and encourage active participation from students.
Book Report
The book report template provides a structured framework for organizing a book report. It includes sections such as a summary, timeline, analysis, and review. This helps students organize their thoughts coherently and ensures that all essential elements of the book report are included.
And More
In addition to the templates, I mentioned above, there are several more you might want to check out. The include:
- Workshop facilitation template
- Photo album template
- Professional development template
- Syllabus/course overview template
- Conference event presentation template
- Science presentation template
