Smile, You’re Shopping
The premise behind the Amazon Smile is simple. When you’re shopping on Amazon for anything at all, you can go to smile.amazon.com (instead of the usual URL), and select the nonprofit or charity organization of your choice — in this case, TCEA! Then, 0.5% of your purchase price will be donated to the organization, at no extra cost to you. You pay the same exact price as if you were going to the regular Amazon URL, but Amaon itself donates to the non-profit in your name. Here’s how Amazon explains it:
AmazonSmile is available at smile.amazon.com on your web browser and can be activated in the Amazon Shopping app for iOS and Android phones. When you shop AmazonSmile, you’ll find the exact same low prices, vast selection and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added benefit that AmazonSmile will donate 0.5% of your eligible purchases to the charitable organization of your choice. So, how do you support TCEA while shopping? It’s easy and requires you to follow these steps just one time.
- Go to smile.amazon.com.
- If you’ve never used Amazon Smile before, you’ll be prompted to select your charity.
- Search for TCEA.
- Click Select.
- It’s that easy. You can even bookmark smile.amazon.com to ensure you’re always donating while shopping.
If you’re already using Amazon Smile, but want to switch to donating to TCEA, that’s easy, too.
- Log into Amazon at smile.amazon.com.
- Select the “Supporting” drop-down menu on the left side of the site navigation.
- Search for TCEA.
- Click Select.
