A Global, Virtual Conference for Students

Have your students submit proposals for the 2016 Student Technology Conference to be held on Saturday, January 30. The students of Marymount School of New York, Westhampton Middle School on Long Island, University School of Milwaukee, and Lauriston Girls’ School in Melbourne Australia, invite your students to submit a proposal to the 2016 Student Technology Conference, the world’s only free, virtual technology conference by students, for all.

In 2015, these students posed the question “What if students and teachers from around the world could share ideas about using technology in the classroom?” As a result, some 500 participants from around the world gathered online at the 2015 Student Technology Conference, an international forum for the presentation, discussion, and sharing of education technology best practices in schools and other academic settings.
We strongly encourage you and your students to be active participants this year!  Open to students in grades 6 through 12 (as well as college), presentations may focus on one of the following strands:
  • Making, Design, and 3D Printing
  • Projects and Collaborations
  • EdTech Tools
  • Students and Social Media
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Technology and Social Justice
This is an excellent opportunity for your students to share their work!
The conference runs from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. EST.  We have confirmed keynote presentations from the Young Hackers of NYC and Coco Kaleel of Very Happy Robot.  More keynote announcements to follow. Session proposals may be submitted online here. If your students are not interested in presenting, make sure they are aware of how to participate and learn from this great global opportunity.
