Helping Teachers Grow: The Campus Technology Specialist Academy

by Peggy Reimers

There are many titles a campus technology specialist can go by. Instructional technology facilitator, innovation specialist, campus technologist, and instructional technologist are just a few. A couple of my favorites are Digital Learning Architect and Ringleader of Disruption. Whatever title you go by, the first ever TCEA Campus Technology Specialist Academy is taking place on November 19-20, 2015 and you are invited. This academy is sure to connect like-minded educators to share resources, swap tools, and build their professional learning community.

If you are seeking information to make a positive change in your district, develop your own skills, and learn best practices for supporting teachers, this two-day event should be added to your fall schedule. The first day will include an afternoon of EdCamp sessions, along with amazing presentations from experts on topics like:

  • Help! My Teachers Need a Lesson Makeover!
  • The Flip Side of Professional Development
  • Coaching the Reluctant Teacher
  • BYOD for Success in the Classroom
  • Modeling Differentiation
  • The CTS Toolbox
  • Doing PD Better
  • Change the Message or Change the People
