Some professional learning needs a notebook, a quiet room, and a fresh cup of coffee. And some professional learning can happen while you are driving to the beach, walking the dog, folding the laundry, or trying to convince yourself that a morning run was a good idea.

TCEA’s new podcast, “The Stuff I Learned About Learning,” gives your ears something good while bringing real educator stories straight to your day. Here’s a quick reference on this year’s episodes.

This podcast brings together educators in different roles for honest conversations about the challenges, wins, questions, and lightbulb moments that show up in schools every day. You will hear from classroom teachers, librarians, instructional coaches, campus leaders, technology directors, counselors, and other educators who are doing the work and learning as they go.

One of the best things about podcasts is that they fit into the little pockets of time we already have.

Heading out on a family road trip? Queue up an episode.

Walking the neighborhood before the Texas heat fully commits? Press play.

Sitting at HEB curbside with a few minutes to spare? You’ve got time for a little educator inspiration.

“The Stuff I Learned About Learning” is available wherever you get your podcasts, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, Android podcast apps, and RSS. You can also visit the episodes page to browse and share episodes with your colleagues.

Episodes

The first season includes 22 episodes, each one centered on real educator experiences and practical takeaways.

You will hear about learning alongside students, leading with authenticity, building collaborative classrooms, reimagining school libraries, supporting teachers without adding pressure, and keeping curiosity alive in the middle of a very full school year.

Not sure where to start? Try matching an episode to what is on your mind.

If you are thinking about classroom culture, start with “Creating a Collaborative Classroom.” Keith Tompkins shares ideas about helping students take ownership of learning and find their voices.

If you are in a leadership season, try “Leadership at Every Level” or “Support, Not Pressure.” Both episodes dig into what it means to lead, listen, and support growth without turning every new idea into one more thing.

If you are a librarian, maker, or champion of student voice, “Reimagining the School Library” and “Space For More Than Books” are good places to begin.

If you are feeling a little tired, but still showing up, “Still Here, Still Fighting” might be the one to add to your list.

And if you simply love hearing how other educators think, grow, and solve problems, start at the beginning and keep going.

So the next time you need something to listen to, give “The Stuff I Learned About Learning” a try. Subscribe wherever you get your podcasts, send an episode to a colleague, or pick one to discuss with your team.

Professional learning does not always happen in the room where it happens, Hamilton fans. Sometimes it happens with earbuds in, coffee in hand, and one good educator story at a time.

And a BIG shout-out to Robert, Erin, and Macee for bringing the TCEA Podcast back to life. Y’all rock!
