How to Celebrate Every Day of Summer

So here we are. It’s mid-May. That means we are on the cusp of a glorious time– summer! I didn’t realize that there is something to celebrate almost each and every day of the year until I read Peggy Reimer’s blog post, “Back to School: A Reason to Celebrate Each Day.” I mean, there’s literally a holiday for everything! In the spirit of taking time to enjoy summer, I thought it would be neat to create summer calendars with various holidays, activities, and celebrations to help with summer planning. With this in mind, I created templates for June and July with ways to treat yourself, celebrate friends, family, and summer, and RELAX. I hope you enjoy these summer suggestions! Feel free to edit the templates with your ideas or download and print as-is.

June 2022 Summer Calendar

June offers a multitude of holidays and special days, both large and small. From National Flip Flop Day and Prince’s birthday to Juneteenth and Hug Holiday– there’s so much worth celebrating. I’m personally excited about National Strawberry Rhubarb Pie day. Next to pecan pie, this is definitely my favorite.

July 2022 Summer Calendar

As for July, besides Independence Day, there’s everything from World Chocolate Day and National Mac and Cheese day to Pick Blueberries Day and Harry Potter’s birthday. Whip up some homemade Harry Potter Butterbeer and cheers to Summer of 2022!
