Online Mapping Across the Curriculum

Interested in learning inquiry-driven activities that are ready to use in the classroom the very next day? This hands-on, online mapping workshop on October 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Central will use the ArcGIS Online cloud platform available for FREE to all schools through the ConnectED initiative. Some of the content areas covered during the workshop will include physical and human geography, Earth science, U.S. history, AP human geography, English language arts, and upper elementary.

As a participant, you will also be introduced to creating your own interactive maps, all with a simple web browser and no programming knowledge required. So grab your laptop and don’t miss out on this power packed, engaging day! Lunch will be provided.

Registration is just $25 for members and includes a one-year GEO-SIG membership to continue the learning. Non-members can register for just $70 and receive both a one-year TCEA and a one-year GEO-SIG membership.
