Home Libraries Conference on the Future of the Library

Conference on the Future of the Library

by Lori Gracey
library

On Thursday, October 6 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Central time, there will be an amazing, free opportunity for librarians from around the world to gather virtually and discuss the future of libraries. Attendees will engage in conversations with civic, social, and education innovators who have made the library the hub of learning. The conference schedule will include both keynote presentations and crowd-sourced sessions and will be held entirely online via Blackboard Collaborate web conferencing.

School libraries have seen tremendous change over the past few years with the coming of age of makerspaces and the librarian as technology expert. This free conference sponsored by the American Library Association Center for the Future of Libraries provides a powerful way to ensure that your library continues to serve the changing needs of your students and staff. Advanced registration is required, and registrants will receive the live session links, as well as links to the recordings. Make sure you register today!
