The results are in, and TCEA is excited to announce a new slate of Special Interest Group (SIG) officers for the 2019–2020 school year. These newly elected officers assumed their posts on April 1, 2019.
SIGs allow TCEA members to network with educators in similar roles or with similar interests to share ideas, challenges, and solutions. Members can join one or more of the Special Interest Groups. SIG memberships require TCEA membership. Non-member pricing for all SIGs comes with a one-year regular TCEA membership.

Taking Professional Development to the Next Level
Newly elected TCEA President Holli Horton congratulated all of the 2019-2020 Special Interest Group officers, saying:
“I am thrilled to serve as a leader within TCEA alongside these dedicated professionals. By stepping up to serve as a SIG officer, these members are taking their professional development to the next level, which will not only help to serve this organization long-term, but will also hone their leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, which are vital in any educational setting, but especially the classroom. I know TCEA’s Special Interest Groups will be revitalized during the course of this next year with the energy and passion these members are bringing to their new roles.”
TCEA Special Interest Group officers will convene at Leadership TCEA on May 4, 2019 to set their agenda for the coming year. This training is designed to help educators develop and enhance essential leadership skills for their futures and is open to all TCEA members at no charge.
